Bringing Hope and Healing: The Journey to Establish a Lifeline Medical Clinic in Mburahati

The Tanzanian government is trying its best to provide health centers, but the need is so great that cannot reach all the citizen. As of 2023, there is one healthcare facility for every 43,000 people. Most families cannot afford transport and health insurances because of their financial capabilities. Emattan and other stake holders have stepped in to help by building this medical clinic in Mburahati, located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Mburahati is a low income area that has a population of approximate 75,000. There are no hospitals or clinics within a 50 mile radius, so most people would never receive health care. Our clinic now provides medical for many people that had no access to these services before.

This is an ongoing initiative. We still are raising money for more medical equipment, but are happy to be financially supporting some amazing doctors that have been able to help a lot of people through this clinic.
